- I have obtained initial Nadcap® accreditation for Computer Controlled, Automated, Manual and Rotary Flap Peening with only one minor finding at an aerospace job shop.
- I am experienced in auditing special processes for metal parts manufacturing, typically at a supplier for an OEM or directly at an OEM.
- I have been a Nadcap® Surface Enhancement Auditor.
- I have provided shot and flap peen training internally and for a U.S. based nationally recognized shot peening control company.
- I have been a member of the SAE Surface Enhancement Committee (SEC) and Aerospace SEC since 2009. Both committees meet bi-annually to improve and publish the industry standards for shot and flap peening. I was the sponsor for Shot Peening Specifications AMS2430™ Rev S and AMS2432™ Rev D. I was co-sponsor for Rotary Flap Peening Specifications AMS2590™ and SAE AS2592. These specifications feed directly into the Nadcap® Checklist requirements.
